What is a Medical Herbalist?

Medical Herbalists are highly trained professionals qualified to diagnose and prescribe botanical medications. At the same time, aiming to keep the traditions of our indigenous medicine open and available to us today, and for future generations.

A Medical Herbalist or (Phytotherapist) uses the plants that grow around us to support the body in times of disharmony, aiming to bring the body back into equilibrium. The human body is a miraculous entity, pre-programmed to heal itself.  However, there are times when our bodies need a little extra help to facilitate this healing instinct.

Taraxacum officinalis (dandelion)
The humble dandelion is easily recognised in our gardens, but is one of our most useful plants. It is used as a liver support and also a powerful diuretic. This plant also contains high levels of potassium which is a mineral often lost with the use of pharmaceutical diuretic remedies.
